My Review:
I was a bit hesitant going into this book as I'm not a fan of these kind of relationships and I had seen some reviews with people not reading the book, yet reviewing based on their idea of what the book would be about.
My mind was quickly turned around as I felt LLV handled this book with discretion and supported her storyline with reasons that worked well.
This is Booth and Dillon's story. After having a unremarkable, unrememberable one night stand with Delanie that neither of them remember, with a resulting child, Booth is and always has been in love with Dillan.
The story flushes out the "why" things happened the way they did and the "who" stood in the way. Not only can it be someone we think of as a friend, but a father who decides he wants something to happen for the wrong reason.
Also, Bobo, the dog, was a hero in my opinion.
That being said, the book was not brash or arrogant in it's delivery, but the book is fleshed out and well written.
I'm glad I did not listen to the opinions of others and read this book in the series and I am now anxiously awaiting the next book in the series that will depict the relationship between Delanie and Bourne.
An enjoyable read.
