Only, Darby is fairly sure that Waylynn is out to kill him, not help him. How else do you explain all the fights he’s having to break up on her behalf, or all the times he has to come to her rescue when she’s managed to put her cute little butt right in the middle of something where it shouldn’t be?

There’s obviously only one solution. He has to make her his. Then everyone will know not to mess with her.

My Review:

Known for being a bad boy and screw up, Darby is turning his life around and Waylynn may just be the answer. How do you change your image and show everyone that you have changed. How do you keep the woman in your sights out of trouble and make her yours?

I loved Darby and Waylynn's story of how they fought adversity and overcame it. I'm sad this is the end of the Valentine Cowboys and I will miss reading their stories.

I’m usually not a relationship-type guy. Call it picky or whatnot, but usually I get bored easily. So, my plan is simple. Spend as much time with Kiki (soon to be Faniki, I know) and hopefully get bored with her adorkable smile and sexy legs that go on for miles.

Then, I can save the brewery, be the best man of the wedding, and get my butt back to Chicago and away from the happy couple.

I hate to say that I didn't like this as much as a lot of her other books. That is not to say it is not a good book and worth the read, it is more that I couldn't get into the characters as easily as I have previously been able to. I love all things Robyn Carr, so if you haven't read her books, you really should.

This was a book about 2 sisters learning how to live their new normal. One sister is 20 years older than the other one and they have both experienced their own traumas. Both of them need to learn to trust again and they need to learn to lean on one another for emotional support.
