ALWAYS ROOM FOR CUPCAKES ~ BETHANY LOPEZ --> BLOG TOUR

One day I was be-bopping along jamming to the music in my head while wondering if my thighs could handle grabbing a cupcake on the way home. The next thing I knew, my entire world crashed and burned.

I used to wake up at night in a sweat, crying because I’d dreamt that my husband was cheating on me, or that he hated me, and resented my kids. He’d always hold me close and tell me it was all just a dream, that he loved me and our family and that he’d never let me go.

He was a fucking liar.

Now I spend my days taking photos of scum just like him, trying to be a champion for other's being taken advantage of by the losers in our town, and my nights being a single mom to my beautiful twins.

I've got great friends who have my back, and a sexy, mysterious motorcycle man who keeps showing up when I need him. Maybe things are starting to look up, and one thing's for sure... There's always room for cupcakes.

MY REVIEW:

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book.

This is my first book by Bethany Lopez and it definitely won't be my last.

It was fun, sassy, charming and a good solid read.

The characters were well developed and the storyline kept me interested.

Delilah (Lila) Horton finds her husband in an uncompromising position with another woman and it sets her off. She is her own "man haters club president". She moves out with her 2 twin children and finds a job as a photographer. She loves her job because she is mostly taking photos of cheating spouses. Her boss, Moose, gets her embroiled in more in depth sleuthing and she becomes a target. Along comes a mysterious man on a motorcycle while she is outrunning a "perp" situation and tells her to hop on his motorcycle.

This man is Cade. As the relationship between Lila and Cade developed, I found myself wanting to know more about him. He was in a motorcycle gang when he was younger and has since branched out (but to what we really don't know). Enter the bad men and Lila is in danger.

Lots of laugh out loud moments and some shockers as well.

I would love to see this book made into a series as I felt there were lots of unanswered questions and time I wish the author would have given us more info.

Definitely worth the read.

4.5 stars
